19/07/2007 - Blanchardstown Centre Supports Family Safe Holiday Initiative
Blanchardstown Centre has today announced its participation in the launch of a new family safety initiative, a service called ‘Family Safe Holidays’. This free service, being launched by The Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) in conjunction with Child Safe, will provide families with help, advise and accessories to help keep their valuables, family and, in particular, their child safe on holiday, both at home and abroad.
The Family Safe Holidays initiative is an extension of Blanchardstown Centre is Child Safe Shopping Scheme, which already provides a simple, effective scheme to help re-unite lost children with their families as quickly as possible.
In the United Kingdom the popular breakfast show – GMTV is promoting this scheme and helping offer one million Free Family Safe Holiday accounts across the UK and Ireland. The Blanchardstown Centre will play a vital part in this promotion, as the local pick up point for free Family Safe Holiday accessories. As part of this campaign, customers will be able to collect information and wristbands from Blanchardstown Centre.
Mercy Prendergast, Marketing Manager at Blanchardstown Centre said "As a family orientated centre that is already part of the Child Safe Zones Scheme, we are pleased to be able to help spread the safety message to families as they venture on holiday, with Family Safe Holidays".
Conveniently located on the Navan Road / N3 adjacent to the M50, Blanchardstown Centre, Ireland’s largest retail and leisure centre, is open 7 days per week.
